"My daughter and I have been riding at Five Oak Farms for six years and love it! The trainers are very knowledgeable and approachable, and are always on the look out for valuable riding experiences, like clinics. It's a very friendly atmosphere and we've made great friends, which makes lessons, shows and barn functions a lot of fun!"

Our FacilityNestled in a peaceful neighborhood within easy reach of downtown Sacramento, our two barns house 25 horses in box stalls and stalls with 12 x 24 covered paddocks. We maintain two spacious arenas: a 220 x 120 outdoor ring with a jumping course plus a 150 x 60 indoor arena. Both rings were recently renovated with a new base and new footing, and both are lighted and equipped with sprinklers for dust control. Regular tractor grooming ensures our horses train and stay fit on an excellent surface.
Six large irrigated pastures plus three additional paddocks are used for daily turnouts to keep our horses happy and relaxed. Our barn also features washracks with hot and cold water plus an automatic fly-control system. Boarders enjoy individual tack lockers and their horses receive customized feeding of grain and supplements daily, as well as blanketing, wrapping and other services as needed. Hay is fed three times a day, and all farrier, worming and vaccination services are managed by the staff. The barn manager and owners live on the property, which is located two blocks from a park with two arenas and shaded riding trails. A periodic newsletter keeps clients apprised of rider accomplishments and other barn events. Trailer parking is available. |
